Default F750 4x4

I serviced an f750 4x4 the other day and when I checked the front axle it appeared to be alittle low, so I filled it to what I thought was the correct level. The filler plug was the only plug on housing so I filled it to the bottom of the hole. While I was filling it I thought to myself this thing is taking alot of fluid. Well after driving the truck gear oil had blown out of the vent. Evedently I over filled the unit.

Does anyone know what the correct level should be and how to check it? This is on a Ford, but the 4X4 system is done aftermarket so the Ford dealer has no idea what I'm talking about. Any help is appreciated.

No, this was a local builder that built a grass rig on the f750
